Bestel3D.nl helps to generate CityGML representations by making available free software in the Downloads section. CityGML files can easiliy be created with help of this software. The software has been developed as part of the 3D Pilot. A number of public organisations and companies participate in the 3D Pilot (Cadastre, GeoNovum, Buro Toposcopie, TU Delft en Gemeentewerken Rotterdam). The conversion software is created in order to convert various geographic layers directly into a CityGML representation. The software aims at large-scale non-detailed displays of villages or towns. Sample data and CityGML representations are offered via the Downloads page and can be loaded and used for evaluation purposes. There are also sample aerial images to enhance the CityGML representation (ground floor).
